RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage warehouse operations, including receiving and shipping products
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations
- Lead and motivate a team to achieve productivity targets
- Conduct daily safety inspections and enforce company policies
- Responsible for inventory accuracy and conducting regular cycle counts
- Implement and maintain a bin location system for efficient storage and picking
- Assist warehouse employees in loading and unloading trucks
- Minimize costs through effective use of personnel, storage space, and materials
- Create organized loads for delivery, maximizing route productivity
- Maintain vehicles and equipment to ensure they meet OSHA and Federal DOT standards
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5-10 years of experience in warehouse management, preferably in the building materials or wholesale distribution industry
- Prior experience with powered industrial equipment, Forklift certification a plus
- Solid knowledge of OSHA and Federal DOT regulations
- Familiarity with ERP systems and TMS/WMS experience required
- Proven leadership skills and ability to motivate and manage employees
- Inventory management experience and scheduling/planning/logistics skills a plus
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Must have a valid driver's license and pass a drug test/background check
- Ability to drive and make deliveries as needed
