The purpose of this position is to performsoftware programming and electrical debuggingactivities
specifically related to the Customer Servicesector of the businesswhile in the field at customer site.In
direct collaboration with the Service and Retrofits teams, this position is responsible for ensuring that all
customers receive the highest degree ofsoftwareprogrammingsupport.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- SupportFAT,installation,commissioning of newautomated packagingsystems
oThoroughand welldemonstratedknowledge of Allen Bradley (MicroLogix, ControlLogix) motion
control platforms, Factory TalkHMI management. Siemens PLC controls is a plus.
oPrepares Ladder logic design patches for projects in installation / commissioning phase
Support customers by providing advice on electrical / programming mattersProvides programming andelectrical supportfor the setup and testing of all ancillary equipment (laserprinters, bowl feeders, etc.)
Loads program into PLC and performsadvancedprogramming tasks on standard componentsMark-up / Update schematics as requiredduring debugging and commissioning.Debugsand Test machinesto fulfill intended machine function specified by projectSupports the Project Managers and Operationsmanagersduring project execution in order to minimizetime and cost impact ofdesign modifications during debugging.
Adhere to all established work instructions and the Employee HandbookComplete adherence to the company safety rules on the floor and when visiting customersPreparingAE and Rentalmachines for the debugging phase and FAT phaseoPower the machines up after wiring
oChecks electrical wiring, verifies I / O’s are properly wired.
oDebugs electrical circuits ensuring they perform according to design
Works with the wiring team in solving any wiring issues
Tests allcircuits and approve machine for debugging
oSetups all servos, VFDs, and any other
oProvides programming support during customer’s FAT

This position requires the employee to attend work properly groomed and dressed according to theposition.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLSREQUIRED :
5-7years’ experience in the field of electrical automation / industrial machinery. Experience inPackaging / AutomationMachinery isrequired.
Good working knowledge AutoCADElectrical.Good working knowledge of current safety standards, including Control Reliabledesign.Above average command of office tools such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)A strong command of the English language.Strong customer serviceskills.Strong communication skills
