Hours are M-F 8 hour shifts.
Must cover other sites (San Mateo, CA, Berkeley, CA) if needed.
Our licensed Mammography Technologist performs screening and diagnostic breast imaging and procedures. This technologist must be able to produce ACR quality images in both diagnostic and screening exams and interact with clinicians and other departments to coordinate patient care.
This technologist is able to evolve with radiology information system (RIS) and PACS systems. They must participate in performance improvement activities in the department, maintain appropriate quality control records, and participate in routine equipment testing and maintenance. Additionally, this Mammography Technologist must be willing to train and interact with students and new hires when necessary.
Minimum Requirements
- Graduate of a formal radiology technology-training program in an AMA approved school.
- Flexibility in scheduling, with the ability to rotate shifts and coverage for weekends and holidays.
- Must be willing to assist at any of the Medical Center Locations.
- Minimum of 3 years of Mammography experience for Sr level; more than 5 years of Mammography experience for Prin. level.
- ARRT Mammography Certification.
- CRT Mammography License.
- BLS Basic Life Support (CPR) Certification.
- Requires proof of mammography-specific training of at least 40 documented hours, if certified after April 27, 1999.
- Requires proof of having performed at least 200 mammography exams in the last 24 months (rolling 24-month calendar).
- Requires certificates of at least 15 CEUs in the last 36-month period (rolling 36-month calendar) that must include at least 6 CEUs in each mammography modality used.
- Requires proof of MQSA approved 3D Tomosynthesis training.
