DEPARTMENT: Cameron Medical Group - Maumee
JOB TITLE: Clinical Registrar
SHIFT: 1.0 FTE, 80 hours Bi-Weekly, Days.
JOB SUMMARY
Performs patient access functions by entering correct information into the EMR to facilitate billing processes. Completes cashier functions and performs clerical and administrative duties in the office.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma/GED
EXPERIENCE
Registration/secretarial experience preferred.
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES
Excellent computer and clerical skills
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND PERFORMANCE STANDARDS
- Exemplifies good customer service.
- Interviews/registers all patients upon admission, verifies patient identity using DOB, name, and social security number when registering. Confirms patient demographics, obtains signatures on electronic consent forms, and scans all required documentation into the patients record.
- Schedules appointments according to clinic template.
- Collects patient related payments including insurance copays and payment deposits.
- Prepares daily deposit with report and balances cash drawer.
- Carries out all duties in a manner consistent with Cameron’s guiding principles and values and according to Cameron’s policies and procedures.
