DEPARTMENT: Information Technology – IT
JOB TITLE: IT Technician
SHIFT: 80 Hours Bi-Weekly, days, required to take call
BENEFITS: This is a full time, benefit eligible position.
Summary/Objective
The IT Technician provides tier 2 support of endpoint hardware and software and responds to support requests via telephone, email, chat, and online ticketing portal. This position is required on premise.
Essential Functions
- Respond to support tickets via phone, email, chat, and help desk software platform
- Troubleshoot and repair hardware such as: desktops, laptops, monitors, printers, document scanners, mobile phones, etc.
- Prioritize and escalate tickets as needed
- Create and maintain documentation related to the configuration and maintenance of equipment and software
- Coordinate with vendors as necessary to diagnose problems, perform troubleshooting, and repair equipment
- Maintain accurate and organized inventory of technology assets
- Based on a rotating schedule, serves in an “on call” capacity per the IT On Call policy and procedures.
Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum 1-year experience working in a technical support role
- Experience with Active Directory for user and object management
- Previous Healthcare IT experience preferred
Skills/Competencies
- Skilled in troubleshooting desktops, laptops, printers, and other hardware peripherals
- Dedication to superior customer service
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Office 365 applications, including management
