JOB TITLE: Pharmacy Technician
SHIFT: 80 hours Bi-weekly, Full-time
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent. College courses desirable but not required.
- Current pharmacy technician permit or Pharmacy Technician in training license required
- 2 years pharmacy technician experience preferred, but not required.
- Current pharmacy technician certification from PTCB or equivalent organization required.
JOB SUMMARY
Pharmacy Technicians assist Pharmacists in preparing and distributing drugs, maintaining the drug inventory and maintenance of records. Pharmacy Technicians work only under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist. They do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a Registered Pharmacist.

- Maintains adequate stock of medications and supplies according to established policies, procedures and protocols and within specified time frame.
- Contributes to the effective operation of the department.
- Participates in the quality improvement activities of the department.
- Demonstrates competence in automated dispensing equipment and adheres to established processes and procedures.
- Maintains competency required for current job title/position.
