DEPARTMENT: Safety & Security
JOB TITLE: Security Officer
SHIFT: .6 FTE, Part-time: Two (2) twelve hour shifts weekly. Every Saturday/Sunday.
SHIFT PREMIUMS: 10% premium added to the hourly rate for 2nd shift.
15% premium added to the hourly rate for 3rd shift.
BENEFITS: This is a Part time, benefit eligible position.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Must have valid driver’s license.
2. Must be able to communicate proficiently, both orally and in writing.
3. Must be able to work flexible hours as needed.
4. Must be proficient in computer use.
5. High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
JOB SUMMARY
Maintains a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, employees and property by following Cameron Memorial Community Hospital’s security policies and procedures.
PERFORMANCE STANDARDS
1. Exemplifies good customer service.
2. Regular reliable attendance.
3. Demonstrates proficient use of email.
4. Communicates, cooperates and performs related duties with other members of the hospital staff in a courteous and efficient manner to achieve overall hospital goals and objectives.
5. Performs a variety of duties to include, but not limited to, floor patrols within the hospital as well as buildings owned/operated by CMCH.
6. Conducts campus patrols to include parking lots.
7. Upon request collect patient valuables and secure in the property room safe or cabinet until called for.
8. Routinely provide escort service to staff and visitors.
9. Responds to all alarm activations and investigate cause.
10. Responsible for the collection of lost and found items and product the property documentation and location of owner of property when possible.
11. Performs similar and related duties as required.
