Cameron & Mittleman LLP is seeking a litigation associate with 4 years of civil litigation experience in Rhode Island. Successful candidates will have proven litigation skills, excellent research and writing skills, and an ability to work on matters before all courts, including District, Superior, and U. S. District Courts.
Our Firm handles matters involving corporate and business litigation; real estate litigation; construction litigation, employment litigation and labor disputes; healthcare litigation; trust, estate, and probate litigation; insolvency litigation; and tort and insurance litigation.

Essential Functions, Duties & Responsibilities include:
· Conducting legal research;
· Drafting legal documents, pleadings, and assisting with the discovery process;
· Conducting client consultations;
· Taking and defending depositions;
· Preparing for and attending court hearings;
· Preparing for and conducting trials.
Required Education, Competencies, & Experience:
· Top academic credentials;
· Licensed to practice in RI (MA licensure, a plus);
· 4 years of civil litigation experience, preferably including trial work, pre- and post-trial motion practice, discovery, dispositive motions, and appellate work;
· Experience with alternative dispute resolution involving arbitration and/or mediation, a plus;
· Well-organized and detail oriented;
· Ability to manage multiple cases concurrently;
· Excellent written and oral advocacy skills;
· Superior analytical skills;
· Strong ethical standards;
