The Veterinary Technician provides high-quality care to animals in a veterinary clinic, hospital, or similar setting. Responsibilities include assisting in surgeries, conducting diagnostic tests, and providing general animal care under the supervision of a licensed veterinarian.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Patient Care:
- Assist with patient intake and discharge.
- Monitor and document patients' vital signs, behavior, and overall condition.
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian.
- Assist in restraining animals during examinations and procedures.

2. Diagnostic and Laboratory Work:
- Collect and process laboratory samples, including blood, urine, and tissue.
- Perform diagnostic tests such as urinalysis, blood counts, and x-rays.
- Operate and maintain diagnostic equipment.

3. Surgical Assistance:
- Prepare animals and surgical equipment for procedures.
- Assist veterinarians during surgical operations.
- Monitor anesthesia and patient recovery post-surgery.
- Maintain sterile conditions in the operating room.

4. Client Communication:
- Educate clients on proper animal care, nutrition, and medical conditions.
- Provide clear instructions for home care and medication administration.
