SUMMARY:
The Business Development Specialist hunts for new retrofit filter opportunities, prospects, and accounts. They enjoy moving from one deal to the next as they are motivated to continue finding and closing new leads. The majority of their time is spent talking to people, scheduling future meetings, presenting Camfil's products and services, and trying to hook prospective clients enough to close and then pass them on to the Account Specialists.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This job requires a good deal of cold calling!
- Account Specialists will manage all existing GS and retrofit accounts.
- Grow retrofit business segment in your territory through existing leads and cold calling
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets established by Aftermarket Sales Manager
- Keep the CRM system current, accurate, and relevant by tracking cold calls & return calls/emails
- Focus on customer acquisition in your territory
- Prospect daily in your territory for new retrofit opportunities/potential new customers
- Identify and connect with key decision makers
- Qualify new business opportunities using Sandler selling system
- Track potential sales opportunities in CRM
- Attend monthly Sandler Sales Training that focuses on cold calling, analyzing cookbook data, and call debriefing to yield better results.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous sales experience preferred
- Self-motivated, results-driven individual
- Ability to prospect, qualify, and close new retrofit business opportunities
- Collaborate with existing Account Specialists to grow the retrofit filter business
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to negotiate a must
- Ability to meet/exceed sales goals
- Effective closing tactics/consistent KPI behaviors/executed use of the Sandler selling system
EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE:
- HS Diploma or equivalent
WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to office, warehouse, and plant environments. The work environment will require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in certain areas. Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
