Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Administrator with a minimum of 3 years of experience to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices, and maintaining strong relationships with vendors.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and review invoices for accuracy and completeness.
- Match invoices to purchase orders and verify receipt of goods/services.
- Enter and code invoices into the accounting system.
- Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain vendor files and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Assist with month-end closing and financial reporting.
- Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve payment issues.
- Support the finance team with ad-hoc tasks and projects as needed.
- Othe job duties as defined.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- 3 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Fitness for Duty – Physical Demands
This position will be in an office setting, but field work may be required.
Ability to occasionally lift up-to-30 pounds, push & pull, reach overhead, stoop & squat, and wear protective equipment if required.
