Position Summary
The Regional Laboratory Manager – LPG Testing is responsible for overseeing, training, and ensuring operational execution in laboratory operations across the U.S. region, specializing in Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) testing. This role focuses on implanting industry leading best practices, standardization, training, and serving as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for LPG laboratory testing, ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and four years of relevant work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in laboratory management, with at least 3 years in LPG testing or a related area.
- Strong understanding of LPG testing methodologies, regulatory standards, and industry trends.
- Proven experience in training and mentoring laboratory teams.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Relevant certifications in laboratory operations, quality management, or LPG testing are a plus (e.g., ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation experience).
- Familiarity with U.S. LPG regulatory frameworks preferred.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and problem-solving mindset.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external counsel.

- Laboratory Operations Management
- Oversee multiple laboratory locations within the U.S. region, ensuring they operate efficiency, safety, and in compliance with regulatory and company standards.
- Develop and implement standardized protocols for LPG testing, aligning with global and industry best practices.
- Establish and implement performance metrics to monitor lab efficiency, accuracy, and productivity.
- Manage, mentor, and develop laboratory personnel, fostering a culture of continuous learning and operational excellence.
- Training & Development
- Design and deliver comprehensive training programs for laboratory personnel, focusing on LPG testing techniques, safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Facilitate knowledge transfer and best practices across regional labs, driving consistency and quality in LPG testing operations.
- Evaluate employee performance and provide constructive feedback and coaching.
- Internal LPG Lab Subject Matter Expertise (SME)
- Serve as the primary technical resource for LPG testing, staying current with industry standards, trends, and emerging technologies.
- Provide expert guidance to internal stakeholders regarding LPG testing methodologies, data interpretation, and compliance requirements.
- Act as a point of contact for escalations, technical queries, and complex client requirements.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders, summarizing lab performance and improvement strategies.
- Operational Oversight
- Collaborate with operations and business development teams to align laboratory capabilities with market needs.
- Optimize resource allocation, equipment utilization, and workflows to maximize laboratory productivity.

Travel:
Flexibility to work across time zones and handle occasional travel, if required.
