The IT Specialist performs the day-to-day tasks required to provide general computer hardware and software related support to end users. In addition, the IT Specialist materially participates in the development of PowerShell scripts that automate these day-to-day tasks and the ongoing design and maintenance of several SQL Server Integration Services projects that provide the company’s data analytics infrastructure.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The following duties and responsibilities are essential to this role:
- End-User Desktop Computer Support (Help Desk):

Provides general computer hardware and software related support to end-users.
Maintains timely, accurate and descriptive documentation of all technical support tasks using the IT department’s help desk support software. -
Develops and maintains a library of PowerShell admin scripts that automate many of the day-to-day tasks required to maintain Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Exchange Server, and SharePoint.
Network Administration: -
Develops scripts to automate repetitive network administration tasks.
Designs and maintains Remote Desktop Services (a.k.a. Terminal Server) configurations and troubleshoots all operational problems. - Maintains and troubleshoots network security, including employee login accounts and profiles, in accordance with department policies and procedures.
- Configures, installs, and troubleshoots LAN, WAN, Intranet, and Internet connectivity in accordance with approved department guidelines.

Maintains corporate data backup operations in accordance with department policies and procedure.
Data Analytics - Designs and maintains SQL Server Integration Services projects that provide the company’s data analytics infrastructure.
- Designs Power BI reports as required.

Qualifications

- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or Engineering Technology and/or relevant experience to include network design and administration.
- 2 years of IT Helpdesk experience in a corporate or supportive environment
- Must have excellent computer skills, including extensive work with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher, etc.).
- Basic programming experience
- Extensive experience in network administration script development.
- Extensive experience in developing interfaces between database systems.
- Experience in health services administration or non-profit environment is helpful.
- Must be a dynamic self-starter with demonstrated ability to work independently on special projects.
- Must be able to work independently while working in one of the branch offices

- Cognitive: Frequently required to concentrate on moderate detail with constant interruption. Must be able to attend to a task/function for 20-45 minutes at a time. Frequently required to understand and relate to specific ideas, several at a time. Must be able to remember multiple tasks/assignments given to self and others over a period of several days.
- Environmental Conditions: Frequent exposure to varied office and mixed (residential/office) environments. Occasional exposure to toxins and poisonous substances, dust, and loud noises.
- Equipment: Frequently required to use a computer, desk phone, and cell phone.
Special Requirements
- Must be able to meet and receive a criminal records clearance, as required by Title XXII, other licensing regulations, and Caminar practices.
- This position will require driving so maintaining a valid CA driver license, reliable personal automobile, a clean driving record, and current insurance as required by law are essential job requirements.
- A personal cell phone with reliable service and, if applicable, a data plan to use for business purposes.
- Will occasionally be required to work nights and/or weekends as needed to perform system maintenance that would disrupt the users if performed during normal working hours.
