Position Description: The Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of Caminar facilities, supporting program management needs, and overseeing maintenance, repairs, and various facility-related functions. This role requires strong organizational skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Essential Job Duties:
Facilities Maintenance and Repair Management
- Oversee the general maintenance and repair of all Caminar facilities to ensure a safe and functional environment.
- Manage janitorial services, including the procurement and monitoring of janitorial supplies.
- Coordinate workstation setups for new hires or office changes.
- Collaborate with Human Resources to address ergonomic equipment needs.
- Oversee the maintenance and management of office equipment and supplies.
- Conduct regular site security inspections and monitor site access to maintain a secure workplace.
- Monitor utilities and manage relationships with vendors and contractors.
- Coordinate with facility vendors for repair and improvement projects, ensuring timely completion and quality standards.
- Fleet Management
- Oversee general maintenance of Caminar’s fleet of vehicles.
- Track and log maintenance and repair expenses.
- Manage GPS tracking online tools.
- Manage FOB assignments, driver lists, and vehicle inventories.
- Monitor and report monthly usage.
- Monitor and report adverse driving alerts.
- Vendor and Contractor Management
Monitor utilities and manage relationships with vendors and contractors.
Coordinate with facility vendors for repair and improvement projects, ensuring timely completion and quality standards. - Special Projects and Compliance
Support organizational initiatives related to compliance, accreditation, and audit readiness.
Participate in cross-departmental projects to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements, Qualifications, Skills & Abilities:
- Education – High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required, Bachelors preferred.
- Experience – 3-5 years related experience with administrative client services; 2 years supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Language skills - an ability to comprehend basic instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Reasoning Ability – Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Computer Skills – To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

Physical, Environmental and Mental Requirements:
Physical: Occasionally required to push/pull objects up to 50 lbs, and to lift/carry objects up to 25 lbs. Frequently required to perform moderately difficult manipulative tasks such as typing, writing, etc. Must be able to walk, stand, sit for extended periods.
Sensory: Frequently required to read documents, written reports, and plans. Must be able to distinguish normal sounds with some background noise, as in answering the phone, interacting with residents and staff, etc. Must be able to speak clearly and understand/be understood using the English language.
Cognitive: Frequently required to concentrate on moderate detail with constant interruption. Must be able to attend to a task/function for 20-45 minutes at a time. Frequently required to understand and relate to specific ideas, several at a time. Must be able to remember multiple tasks/assignments given to self and others over a period of several days.
Environmental Conditions: Frequent exposure to varied office and mixed (residential/office) environments. Occasional exposure to toxins and poisonous substances, dust, and loud noises.
Equipment: Frequently required to use a computer, phone, and fax machine.

Must be able to meet and receive a criminal records clearance, as required by Title XXII, other licensing regulations, and Caminar practices.
This position requires frequent driving. A valid California driver license, reliable personal vehicle, current personal auto insurance as required by law, and an MVR sufficient to obtain and reasonably maintain insurability under agency auto liability policies are all essential job requirements.
Must be able to pass post offer, pre-employment medical and drug tests as required under State Community Care Licensing regulations and/or agency policies.
