GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Works under the direct supervision of the Child and Adolescent Program Director. The Youth Empowerment Services (YES) Coordinator will be responsible for monitoring and oversight of initiatives and contracts inclusive of YES Waiver, Wraparound services, Texas Systems of Care (TSOC), and others as assigned. Participates in Community Resource Coordination Group (CRCG) meetings. Is responsible for managing the delivery of YES services, reporting to local, state, and partner agencies on project status and participating in quality assurance of program service provision. Promotes the organization as a quality provider of behavioral health services and assist with the certification as a CCBHC. Provides oversight, guidance, and supervision to the Wraparound Facilitators across the agency. Responsible for administrative activities in the areas of responsibility. Work involves assisting in establishing program goals and objectives; assisting in developing program guidelines, procedures, policies, rules, and regulations; developing standards for achieving program goals; and evaluating program activities. Performs moderately complex consultative and technical work in the planning, development, and implementation of the agency provider program including reporting to HHSC YES Waiver. Work involves providing consultative, training, and technical services to agency program staff and contracted providers, other governmental agencies, community organizations, and the general public. Travel required to all service areas and including meetings and conferences. The job requires extensive travel for community-based service provision and flexible hours and is scheduled to meet the demands of the clients served.

Applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications to be eligible for the position:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university, with a major in (or the equivalent to a major, i.e., 24 hours of course work) in psychology, social work, medicine, nursing, rehabilitation, counseling, sociology, human growth and development, physician assistant, gerontology, special education, education psychology, early childhood education, or early childhood intervention; OR a registered nurse. Must meet QMHP qualifications.
- You must possess good computer skills.
- You must be able to use a personal vehicle for travel to provide job duties.
PREFERRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior working experience with mental health.
- One (1) year of experience working with at risk youth.
- Prior working experience as a case manager.
- English/Spanish skills; demonstrated ability to read, write, and speak English and Spanish.
- Resident of Zavala County.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of the principles, methods, techniques, and practices of social work.
- Skill in interviewing and assessing treatment needs of people served.
- Ability to communicate effectively both written and oral.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to plan and implement consumer services.
- May require abilities to supervise the work of others; to interpret programming methods and procedures; and to provide guidance to other staff.
- Ability to work under conditions requiring physical stamina and the ability to work in a stressful environment.
