Agency vehicles may be available; however, mileage is reimbursed for some activities requiring use of personal vehicles. The selected applicant must be able to attend approximately 3 working days of staff development orientation in Lytle, TX.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Peer Recovery Coach provides non-clinical services intended to aid patients in establishing recovery from high-risk of dependent alcohol anddrug use problems. This position will support individuals in the initial stages of recovery by helping to remove barriers and obstacles for those new tothe system of care. This is a non- clinical, strength-based peer-to-peer support service in which you will provide people with referrals to the recoverycommunity. As a Recovery Coach you will serve as a personal guide and mentor and help individuals understand the system of care and how tonavigate as part of the team to provide peer support and motivation to encourage patients who are seeking treatment for alcohol or drugdependency and addiction issues. Assist in completing referrals to treatment services and developing service plans to promote successful linkageto treatment services. Uses personal lived experience in recovery from a mental health or substance use condition to provide support to consumers in a clinicalsetting. Provides support in daily activities for individuals with substance abuse issues for mental health recovery. May conducts home and clinic face to facesessions. May Provides daily life skills to residents, including information on self-care and hygiene. Assist consumers with linking to appropriate internal and external services (housing /employment /independent living, etc.), and navigating systems essential to recovery and growth. Ensures clinical documentation is submitted in accordance with CRCS's standards and meets all designated requirements. Productivity standards are in place for this position and will cover theMaverick/Zavala counties. May be required to work evenings and some weekends. Performs other related duties as required to include participatingin trauma informed care training.

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalency
- The eligible candidate must be actively engaged in his/her own recovery program with a minimum of 2 years demonstrated personal recoveryand sustained abstinence from alcohol or drug use.
- Must maintain a valid drivers' license and automobile insurance coverage,
- Must be able to pass required background check(s) and pass random drug screening(s).
PREFERRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants who possess one or more of the following additional qualifications are preferred:
- Two (2) years of lived experience with substance abuse or mental health required.
- Training in trauma informed care through class completion or other formal training
- You must maintain a valid driver's license and automobile insurance coverage, be able to travel as needed, and be able to meet on a consistent basis the driving record requirements of the Company's auto insurance carrier if you drive your vehicle during company business.
- Must maintain required credentials and mandatory training requirements to ensure compliance with all State regulations and CRCS.
