Camino Search is excited to partner with a renowned leader in the distribution industry. This collaboration presents an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious Director of Payroll to join a dynamic and growing organization with a strong legacy of quality, consistency, and service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and optimize payroll processing for 2,600 employees (85% hourly, weekly payroll).
- Implement process improvements to ensure payroll accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
- Manage multi-jurisdictional payroll taxes across locations in Boston, NY, and beyond.
- Ensure workflow approvals, earnings, and pay codes are structured and properly managed.
- Work closely with HR and finance to enhance payroll integration and employee onboarding processes.
- Utilize UKG Ready (Kronos/UKG experience required) to streamline payroll functions.
- Lead payroll system transitions and integrations, particularly for acquired companies.
- Start as an individual contributor with plans to hire an analyst and build out a payroll team.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in payroll leadership, preferably in a high-volume, complex environment.
- Expertise in UKG Ready, Kronos, Workday, or PeopleSoft (ADP or third-party experience alone is not sufficient).
- Strong understanding of multi-jurisdictional payroll taxes and compliance requirements.
- Experience building and improving payroll processes in a structured but evolving organization.
- Ability to drive efficiency and create disciplined payroll workflows.
- Prior experience managing payroll system implementations or transitions is a plus.
Salary : $180,000 - $200,000
