Position: Part-Time Camp Counselor (Morning Shift)
Location: Camp Bow Wow Rochester
Hours: Morning shift starting at 6:30am, weekends and holidays required, flexible scheduling. Shifts end times range from: 11am-3:30pm.
Ideal Candidate: Perfect fit for college students, active retirees and those looking to keep active.
What You'll Do:
- Supervise and engage with dogs in our play yards (indoor and outdoor) to ensure safe and fun playtime.
- Monitor dog behavior and manage group activities with patience and positivity.
- Assist with feeding, grooming, and cleaning to keep our Campers happy and healthy.
- Provide lots of love, attention, and care to each dog to ensure their comfort and well-being.
- Take pictures of playtime, and complete report cards for the dogs under your care.
What We're Looking For:
- Active dog lovers who are excited to work in a fun, fast-paced, and furry environment.
- Friendly, patient, and energetic individuals who can provide excellent care and supervision.
- Reliable team players who can handle responsibility, communicate effectively, and follow safety protocols.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and be on your feet for extended periods.
- Prior experience working with animals is a plus, but a passion for dogs is a must!
Disclaimer: This position requires a lot of energy, patience, manual labor, standing for long periods of time. Dogs and caring for a group of dogs, comes with sweat, drool, hair, barking & cleaning up routinely, not to mention make for a noisy and active working environment. It takes someone special, with an inner calm & an ability to multitask well under pressure to succeed in this role. Attendance & punctuality are non-negotiable for this role.
