Duties
- Perform grooming services including bathing, clipping, and styling for various breeds of dogs and cats.
- Assess the condition of pets’ coats and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques.
- Provide additional services such as nail trimming, ear cleaning, and teeth brushing.
- Maintain cleanliness of grooming tools and equipment, ensuring they are sanitized after each use.
- Communicate with pet owners regarding their pets' grooming needs and provide recommendations for care.
- Handle pets safely and effectively during grooming sessions to ensure their comfort and safety
- Keep accurate records of services provided and any special notes about each pet's behavior or health.
Requirements
- Proven experience in pet grooming or related fields such as veterinary technician or kennel work is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners.
- Experience in dog handling and knowledge of various breeds is essential.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling larger animals or moving equipment.
