What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receptionist/Dog Handler position at Camp Bow Wow?
Camp Bow Wow is looking for a reliable and compassionate dog handler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and maintain flexibility in their schedule. They will be able to interact with dogs in a friendly and professional manner.
Responsibilities
- Provide dog training and daycare services
- Handle dogs without and within the limits of the facility, handling them only when needed
- Maintain a clean and sanitary environment for dogs and humans
- Communicate effectively with owners regarding the quality of their dog’s care
- Act in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Handle any issues or problems seriously
- Document accurately activities performed with accuracy, including but not limited to notes on each dog’s behavior
Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a dog handler or assistant dog trainer (preferred but not required)
- Excellent knowledge of animal behavior, animal care and general training principles.
- Ability to work independently. Ability to adapt to a variety of shifts, schedules, and weather conditions. Flexibility in working hours.
- Excellent communication skills (English)
- Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks on time. Attention to detail is a must.
