Come jump in the lake with us!Responsibilities : Develop and implement educational programs and activities for camp participantsCreate and maintain a safe and inclusive camp environmentSupervise and train camp staff membersManage camp activities and work with Camp Director on scheduling and logisticsCollaborate with staff and community partners to ensure a positive camp experienceEvaluate program effectiveness and make improvements as neededProvide leadership and guidance to camp staff and participantsQualifications : 21 years of age or olderProven experience working with children (Higher education teaching experience or education administration background preferred)Ability to educate and engage with students of various ages and backgroundsExperience managing or leading groups of camp employeesStrong organizational and communication skillsExperience working with children or in a camp settingAbility to lead a team and manage multiple responsibilitiesCPR and First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)Knowledge of safety protocols and emergency proceduresAbility to reside on-site for the entire program durationSuccessful completion of a pre-employment background investigationCamp Schedule : Camp Preparation : Occurs before staff training (Approx 80 hours of pre-season prep before arriving onsite for staff training)Staff Training : June 30 – July 5Camp Season : July 7 – August 10Duration : 8 Weeks - 6 weeks on-site work with additional work required in advance of the camp staff training weekPerks : Discounted fees for children of camp staffFree accommodationsFree FoodFriday night through Sunday afternoon offCamp Background : Camp Gregory is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit rustic summer camp located on the eastern shore of Cayuga Lake.
