Camp Curiosity is located on a 50 acre farm in Doylestown, PA. We offer programs for campers aged Preschool - Kindergarten in our younger camp programs and Grade 1 - 6 in our older camp programs. Camp Curiosity is home of Curiosity Academy, Curiosity Shoppe, Toddler Center, & Doylestown Pickleball.
Camp Curiosity offers a fun spin on the traditional camp experience that allows campers to engage in a variety of activities focused on our four core areas: DISCOVER, EXPLORE, INVENT, and CREATE.
Job Description
Make a big splash this summer at Camp Curiosity! We are seeking energetic, passionate and team-oriented individuals to join our Aquatics team and create memorable experiences for the campers for the 2025 season.
Full-time and part-time available.
Hours: Monday-Friday between 8:30am-4:30pm; Shifts determined upon hire.
*No nights or weekends required*
LIFEGUARD CERTIFICATION & TRAINING PROVIDED!
Responsibilities
- Supervision of pool and pool area any time there are campers present in the area.
- Supervision of pond and creek areas during water-related camp activities, e.g. boating, fishing, creek walks.
- Maintenance of the pool and pool area for cleanliness, organization, free of litter, and safety.
- Assist in maintaining an accurate pool check record on a daily and weekly basis.
- Know, enforce, and follow all safety guidelines associated with the camp and all program areas, including but not limited to enforcing pool rules and safety procedures.
- Know and understand ALL emergency procedures associated with the camp program.
- Assist swim instructors to instruct age-appropriate swimming skills to campers based on guidelines by the ARC.
- Identify and report camper behavior issues to Aquatic Supervisor and Camp Leadership.
- Identify and respond to first aid incidents, as needed.
- Be flexible and fill in where needed.
- Have a great attitude!
Qualifications
- Must be at least 15 yrs old.
- Prior leadership, work and/or childcare experience.
- Enjoy working with children.
- Ability to lead, plan, organize, and implement program activities.
- Ability to work as a member of a team and the ability to accomplish tasks with independence, motivation, and responsibility.
- Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
- Pediatric First Aid & CPR Certifications and/or Lifeguard/WSI Certifications at time of hire or able to obtain before session start date.
- Must be able to obtain Background Clearances, FBI fingerprinting, Child Abuse Clearances, and Mandated Reporter Training (will change with regulations).
Additional Information
Camp Curiosity will be hosting a CPR and Lifeguard Certification class in June 2025.
