What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custodian position at Camp Curtin YMCA?
POSITION SUMMARY:
The YMCA is seeking an energetic, hardworking, and experienced person to fill the Custodian position.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Examples of key duties are interpreted as being descriptive and not restrictive.
1. Provides all necessary custodial services to maintain a clean and healthy environment in the YMCA facility.
2. Cleans rooms and offices, restrooms, locker rooms, gym, child care rooms, lobby, stage, kitchen and fitness center to meet or exceed member services expectations.
3. Performs specialized floor cleaning duties including, but not limited to, stripping, scrubbing, polishing, buffing floors, removing stains, and cleaning carpets.
4. Provides stock and supplies for restrooms, locker rooms, and child care rooms.
5. Notifies Maintenance Director and Site Director when a problem needs fixing or equipment is in dispair.
6. Attends required YMCA trainings to maximize learning on keeping environment clean and sanitized.
7. Candidates must have availability to work evenings and weekends.
8. Performs any other duties as may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Knowledge of basic cleaning skills as related to the facility.
2. Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
3. High school or equivalent (GED).
