Counselor Responsibilities
- Maintain a positive attitude and foster respect among campers
- Encourage participation, learning, and personal growth
- Teach campers new skills through guided activities: sports, swimming, boating, ropes, marksmanship, survival skills, etc.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and fun environment in your cabin
- Help campers develop confidence, friendships, and independence
- Serve as a mentor and role model
Location: Camp Fatima for boys in Gilmanton Ironworks, NH
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 17 years old
- Willing to promote and uphold camp rules & mission
- Must strive to always act in a manner that does not contradict the teachings of the Catholic Church.
Highly Sought-After Skills and Certifications
- Equestrian Experience – Previous experience working with horses, including care, riding, or instruction.
- Firearms and Archery Knowledge – Familiarity with rifles and archery equipment, including safety procedures and instruction.
- Lifeguard Certification – Certified lifeguards with experience in water safety and rescue procedures are highly valued.
- Tennis, basketball, and baseball skills.
