Camp Fire Alaska - Program Coordinator

Position Overview :
During the School year, Program Coordinators directly supervise on-site leadership and staff at Camp Fire Alaska School Age Programs (SAP). Each Program Coordinator supports and promotes quality youth development programming; coaches and trains to improve staff development; supervises and administers agency policies and procedures to comply with licensing and funding standards and leads a program or project focused on recruitment and retention, or supporting families and youth. Program Coordinators initiate and actively engage in work that supports Camp Fires Promise to provide youth with the opportunity to find their spark, lift their voice and discover who they are.
During the summer, from end of May through July this position will assist in the supervision and management of either Camp Fireweed or Summer Adventure Camp Program sites and leadership.
This is a dynamic and key leadership position within our school age program team that requires a lot of versatility in skill set. While this position is administrative in nature (emails, meetings, trainings, planning, supervision / mentoring, incident management) and has some predictable work flows, there is also a significant amount of adapting the individual must do on the constantly shifting needs of program, staff, youth and families. This position must be able to pivot quickly, re-prioritize, and communicate well to a wide variety of stakeholders.
