Lifeguards Needed!

$15.00/hr
Qualifications:
· Must hold a current and approved certification in Basic Life Support/CPR/AED, First Aid, and American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification.
· Employees must be at least 15 years old. All employees under 18 must complete an Indemnification Form notarized and signed by a parent or guardian.
· Complete all Camp Fire training before the employee’s start date.
· Maintain all certification-level physical and mental readiness.
Summary:
Lifeguard positions support our Day Camp Program and community pool during the summer. Camp Fire is dedicated to building a team to help create a safe and fun atmosphere while maintaining safe swimming conditions in the pool, surrounding pool deck, and pool facilities in accordance with Camp Fire North Texas Policies and Procedures.
Reports to:
All CPOs (Certified Pool Operators) and the Assistant Pool Manager
Job Responsibilities:
· Responds to challenges with possible solutions in a timely manner.
· Always maintain a professional attitude toward coworkers and guests.
· Maintains active surveillance of the pool area when on duty.
· Knowledgeable and keeps updated with all Camp Fire policies and procedures.
· Understands and consistently applies all guidelines, policies, and safety procedures for the pool facility.
· Performs equipment checks throughout their shift.
· Checks for hazardous pool and facility conditions upon shift arrival.
· Adheres to and completes all required certified training for licensure.
· Able to work various hours, including pool rentals when assigned.
· Performs duties as assigned by the CPO (Certified Pool Operator) or Assistant Pool Manager.
· Performs required chemical testing during pool operations and reports any problems to the Assistant Pool Manager and/or CPO when necessary.
· Able to complete all necessary forms and record keeping.
· Responsible for handling money for guest admission to pool facilities.
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
Camp Fire’s pool is an outdoor oasis to help members and guests beat the summer heat and stay cool. All lifeguards must meet the work environment and physical demands described during pool operation hours to ensure the success of our community pool, Day Camp Program, and pool rental experiences.
· Physically perform all duties essential as a lifeguard and to your certification.
· Remain alert at all times while on duty.
· Adhere to shift rotation for breaks to reduce fatigue and heat exhaustion.
· Be able to hear distress signals in the pool or within the pool area.
· Able to vacuum pool and clean pool facilities.
