Day Camp Kitchen Attendant Needed for June 10th - 28th
We are looking for an energetic Kitchen Attendant to help keep the favorite part of our Camp streamlined and tidy! Your job will ensure the kitchen remains clean and operational throughout the day, preparing snacks and cookout lunches for Campers, Counselors, and staff and managing all incoming food for proper storage.
Pay: $12/hr.
Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00 am – 4:15 pm
*Mandatory Training (paid) - May 29th, June 3rd, and June 5th from 1pm to 5pm!*
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Ensure all food preparation areas are clean and hygienic.
· Wash all utensils, serving utensils, dishes, trays, and cookware and storing them appropriately.
· Keep count of each group of campers attending the day.
· Prepare snacks and cookout lunches for all grades.
· Stock and appropriately store all incoming food used for snacks and lunches under the Wichita County Health Code guidelines.
· Clean the dining area after breakfast, lunch, and snacks.
· Sweep and mop the kitchen and dining areas after breakfast, lunch, and snacks and if any spills occur throughout the day.
· Keep trash cans clean and empty when needed throughout the day.
· Ensure the freezer and refrigerator are cleaned and remove all expired food and liquids daily.
· Keep inventory of all needed supplies, food, or other items needed to maintain kitchen operations and report to the Camp Director.
Requirements:
· Must have a current food handler license.
· Ability to stand for long periods of time.
· Self-motivated and a great attitude.
