SUMMARY
Camp Good Days is seeking a Full-Time (hourly/non-exempt) Development Coordinator in the Buffalo Office. The incumbent will be responsible for supporting fundraising efforts and strengthening relationships with donors in the Western New York area.

Camp Good Days and Special Times, Inc. is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization, founded in 1979, dedicated to improving the quality of life for children, adults and families whose lives have been affected by cancer or sickle cell anemia. All the programs and services provided by Camp Good Days are offered free of charge for the participants, which is only possible through the generosity of so many individuals and organizations, as well as the success of our many special fundraising events. Programming includes a large variety of events aimed at children of all ages, at venues in the Western New York area and at our recreational facility on Keuka Lake.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Fundraising Campaigns: Support the planning and execution of events, campaigns, and appeals to drive donor contributions. This includes supporting outside fundraisers.
- Donor Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with donors, corporate partners, and foundations to enhance engagement and satisfaction
- Grant Writing: Collaborate on identifying funding opportunities and developing compelling grant proposals
- Database Management: Maintain accurate donor records, generate reports, and analyze trends to inform fundraising strategies
- Event Support: Assist in coordinating fundraising events and meetings to ensure seamless execution
- Marketing Collaboration: Contribute to social media, newsletters, and outreach efforts to support development initiatives
- Office Support: Work in a small, collaborative office environment, contributing to team efforts and supporting colleagues in various capacities as needed. Flexibility to take on additional duties as assigned to ensure the overall success of the region.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Minimum associate's degree, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience: 1-2 years of fundraising/event planning and/or donor relations.
- Skills and Abilities: Ability to relate well and work effectively with multiple constituencies and audiences. Excellent verbal and written skills. Proficient with technology, Knowledge of office systems: MS-Office preferred. Highly organized and detail oriented to manage event timelines and marketing processes. A team player committed to developing and working within a collaborative environment.
- Hours: Typically, Monday-Friday 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; occasional nights and weekends required as needed for events/programs. Flexible weekday schedule based on requirements of event responsibilities that are outside typical hours.
- Valid NYS Drivers License, ability to commute to office and/or other locations based on organizations meetings/events etc.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
