Camp High Hopes is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dietary Lead to oversee food service operations in our newly completed, modern kitchen. This role is critical to ensuring that our campers have an exceptional and enriching experience at camp through nutritious and satisfying meals tailored to their needs.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Food Supply Management: Plan and order food supplies to ensure all meals are properly stocked and prepared while adhering to budgetary guidelines.
- Meal Preparation and Service: Oversee the preparation and timely service of high-quality meals for campers, staff, and visitors, ensuring a variety of nutritious and delicious options.
- Dietary Restrictions and Allergies: Identify and manage specific dietary needs, including allergies and other restrictions, with great attention to detail and care to ensure camper and staff safety.
- Budget Oversight: Develop and maintain food service budgets, ensuring cost-efficient operations without compromising meal quality.
- Sanitation and Cleanliness: Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the kitchen, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Oversee end-to-end meal preparation, service, and cleanup.
- Team Collaboration: Coordinate with camp staff, counselors, and caregivers to provide outstanding meal experiences that support the energy, health, and enthusiasm of all participants.
The candidate will be passionate about creating positive dining experiences, attentive to dietary needs, and committed to upholding a welcoming and inclusive camp environment. Additionally, the ideal candidate should have previous experience operating a kitchen that prepares and serves meals to large groups of individuals.
