What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Camp Leadership position at Camp in the Community?
Lead. Serve. Make an Impact. Join Camp in the Community’s Leadership Team!
Ready to Lead Where It Matters Most?
This summer, don’t just work—lead. Grow. Show up for something bigger than yourself.
Camp in the Community (CITC) is looking for bold, purpose-driven leaders to step into key roles: Site Coordinators, Assistant Coordinators, Activities Leads, and more. This isn’t babysitting. This is field leadership, grassroots impact, and holy disruption—in rural and underserved communities across East Tennessee and Southwest Virginia.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead from the front: Guide a traveling team of counselors as they deliver life-changing camp experiences to kids who need it most.
- Own the logistics: Build daily schedules, run check-ins, coordinate programming, and keep the engine running.
- Be the connector: Build trust with local churches, communities, and families—and make sure every person feels seen.
- Shepherd with soul: Lead devotionals, support your team’s spiritual walk, and stay grounded in your own faith.
- Handle curveballs: You’re the calm in the chaos when things shift fast—which they will.
Who You Are:
- Faith isn’t just part of your life—it’s the lens you lead through.
- You’ve led before and know how to lift others up while getting things done.
- You’re organized, adaptable, and not afraid of a little beautiful chaos.
- You want to be remembered—for the impact you made and the lives you changed.
Why You Should Say Yes:
- Impact over everything: Over 1,200 kids will come to camp—many for the first time—because of you.
- Movement-minded: You’re joining a wave of leaders bringing hope, fun, and faith to 24 communities.
- Skill-building that sticks: Communication, leadership, crisis management—these are tools you’ll carry forever.
- Community you’ll crave: Work with a team that gets it—and gets you.
- Yes, it’s paid: And your food housing during camp weeks are covered.
Quick Details:
- Training begins: May 25, 2025
- Final day: August 2, 2025
- HQ: Alcoa, TN (but you’ll travel weekly)
- Pay: Competitive, with meals housing included
This is your moment to lead with heart, serve with grit, and make summer unforgettable—for you and for them.
