Position Description:
As a Program Leadership Assistant at South Side Mission Camp Kearney, you will hold a key leadership position, working closely with the Camp Director and Assistant Camp Director to lead daily activities, support summer staff, supervise campers, and plan and implement programs. Embodying the mission of South Side Mission's Camp Kearney, you will play an instrumental role in teaching campers about Jesus Christ through your actions and interactions. This position offers a unique opportunity for personal and spiritual growth, as well as the development of leadership skills within a supportive Christian community.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent experience.
Bona Fide Occupational Qualifications:
Must be of Christian faith, actively involved in local church attendance, and able to share your personal testimony of faith in Christ.
Key Responsibilities:
Safety and Supervision:
- Assume responsibility for assisting in the supervision and direction of summer staff, ensuring adherence to camp policies and procedures.
- Enforce camp policies and procedures to maintain a safe and orderly camp environment.
- Prioritize the safety of staff and campers, adhering to established safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Coordinate and implement program components according to the daily schedule, fostering a structured and engaging camp experience.
