Position Overview:

As a Group Leader, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the summer experience for our campers. You will be responsible for overseeing a group of 2-3 bunks and their counselors, ensuring a safe and fun environment. This position requires a dynamic individual who is ready to lead by example, support campers in their personal growth, navigate challenges, and foster the values that make Camp Kennybrook a special place.

Responsibilities:

- Supervise and mentor counselors within your assigned group, providing guidance and support as they work with campers.

- Foster a positive and inclusive group dynamic among campers, encouraging teamwork, friendship, and personal development.

- Address and navigate any issues or conflicts that may arise among campers or staff, working to find positive and constructive resolutions.

- Collaborate with fellow Group Leaders, program staff, and camp directors to ensure a cohesive and well-rounded camp experience.

- Act as a role model for campers, embodying the values of Camp Kennybrook and promoting a positive camp culture.

Requirements:

- College graduate with a degree in education, recreation, or a related field.

- Previous experience working at a summer camp or in a leadership role is a plus.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to lead and motivate a team of counselors.

- Problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate challenges with a positive attitude.

- Enthusiastic about creating a fun and memorable experience for campers.

Pay: $1,500.00 - $2,000.00 per month
