Camp Kippewa is seeking a Fine and Visual Arts Director to lead and manage our vibrant arts program, where campers explore creative expression through a wide range of disciplines. From fine arts like painting, drawing, and photography to hands-on crafts including pottery, woodworking, stained glass, textile arts, jewelry making, and more—our arts program offers something for every camper to discover and enjoy.
Dates: June 9 - August 16, 2025
This is an on-site full-time seasonal position.
Responsibilities:
- Implement and manage the summer arts program, ensuring a fun, engaging, and well-organized experience for campers.
- Guide and support college-aged camp counselors, providing advice and currriculum development to help them succeed in their roles.
- Oversee studio spaces and program inventory across three dedicated arts buildings, creating a welcoming and inspiring creative environment.
- Coordinate and lead the end-of-session Art Show, where campers showcase their work to the camp community.
- Serve as a member of the camp leadership team, help to support camp-wide special events, evening programs, and on-campus duty responsibilities.

About Camp Kippewa
We are a traditional overnight camp for girls ages 7-15, located in beautiful Monmouth, Maine on Lake Cobbosseecontee which is 25 minutes from Augusta, Maine. We are known for our customized activity scheduling, supportive community, top-notch instruction, infectious enthusiasm, and beautiful lake-side setting!
Compensation
