Position Overview:
Are you ready to make a lasting impact and create unforgettable memories? As a Camp Counselor, you’ll be a role model, mentor, and leader for campers in your cabin group, helping them have the time of their lives while growing into their best selves. You’ll work with an assigned group for 2–4 weeks, building strong connections, leading exciting activities, and ensuring every camper has a summer they’ll never forget. After your first session, you’ll have the opportunity to connect with a new group of campers, bringing fresh energy and experiences to every session.
From guiding adventures and teaching new skills to cheering on your campers at events, you’ll play a pivotal role in creating a safe, fun, and nurturing environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Bring the Fun: Plan and lead a weekly schedule of activities for your camp group, from arts and crafts to nature exploration, games, and swimming.
- Inspire and Empower: Be a positive influence and mentor, supporting your campers while fostering teamwork, friendship, and confidence. Help shape moments of personal growth and celebrate each camper’s unique journey.
- Champion Safety: Keep the fun going by prioritizing safety at every turn. Enforce guidelines, manage emergencies with ease, and create a clean, organized environment where everyone can thrive.
- Create Magic: Help organize group activities and special events that make camp memorable for everyone.
- Be the Bridge: Share stories of camper milestones with parents and communicate any concerns to Camp Leadership, ensuring everyone feels connected and informed.
- Capture the Moments: Keep track of the journey with detailed records like incident reports, attendance logs, and program updates, preserving the camp’s legacy of care and excellence.

- Passion for working with kids and creating a positive, inclusive environment where boys and girls ages 5-17, with varying ability levels, can thrive.

Physical readiness:
- Hand-eye coordination and dexterity to manage equipment and activities.
- Normal hearing and eyesight to engage with and support campers effectively.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds to assist with camp operations.
- Bonus: Lifeguard certification (if applicable) and prior camp/youth experience!
