We are a children's summer camp located in the beautiful state of Maine. Our camp is dedicated to providing children with fun and educational experiences that they will remember for a lifetime. We offer a variety of activities, including outdoor sports and recreation, arts and crafts, and nature exploration.
About the Role: We are looking for a Fly Fishing instructor to join our team for the summer season. The ideal candidate will be an experienced Fly Fishing enthusiast with a passion for teaching children how to cast, tie flies and fish on still and moving waters. As a Fly Fishing instructor, you will be responsible for leading daily fishing activities for campers, teaching basic fishing techniques and safety rules, and ensuring that all fishing equipment is properly maintained.
Responsibilities:
- Teach basic Fly Fishing techniques to children of all skill levels.
- Ensure the safety of all campers during fishing activities.
- Maintain and equipment as needed.
- Plan and organize daily fishing activities.
- Create a fun and engaging learning environment for children.
Requirements:
- Must have previous Fly Fishing experience.
- Experience teaching children is preferred, but not required.
- Must be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Must be available to work the entire summer season (June 11 - August 14).
