Company Description
Camp Long Lake is a 200-acre camp located in Saint Cloud, WI and owned and operated by the Potawatomi Area Council of Scouting America. The camp serves over 800 campers each summer with sessions lasting one week. Camp Long Lake offers various adventurous programs and is located in Kettle Moraine National Forest.
Role Description
This is a summer (June 15 - August 11) on-site role for a Camp Staff member. The Camp Staff member will be responsible for day-to-day activities including leading and facilitating various outdoor activities and merit badges, ensuring the safety and well-being of campers, assisting with maintenance and cleaning, and providing excellent customer service to campers and adult leaders. Candidates skilled in aquatics are preferred.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children and/or in the outdoors
- Ability to work in a team - oriented environment
- Strong problem - solving skills and ability to adapt to changing situations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- CPR and first - aid certification is a plus
- Experience with a range of outdoor activities - such as swimming, boating, crafts, or fishing, - is a plus
- Ability to handle the physical demands of the role, which include standing, walking, and engaging in outdoor activities for extended periods of time
- Must pass a background check and be at least 15 years old (18 years old preferred)
Job Type: Temporary
Pay: $215.00 - $450.00 per week
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
