Job Overview:
Responsible for the overall operation of the restaurant’s servers, bartenders, lead positions including accounting for daily inventories, training personnel and customer service, as well as ensuring that the staff performs a variety of tasks to create the highest level of customer satisfaction and a safe environment. Hire, train and direct the event staff in servicing all concert, banquet and pool activities in order to ensure a successful function and repeat business.
Position Description:
- Ensures compliance with health and safety codes and policies
- Communicate effectively with upper management, peers, leads and subordinates
- Exhibits a positive, enthusiastic attitude committed to a teamwork effort
- Responsible for the overall quality of service standards of all restaurants, pool and special events
- Ensures strict compliance with procedures and reconciliation of the end of shift reporting and pre shift meetings
- Ensures that opening and closing duties have been successfully completed by staff and leads
- Completes strategies to generate friendly competition amongst staff
- Tracks labor daily and efficiency of directives from Director of Food and Beverage
- Analyzes and initiates actions to improve product, company image and profitability
- Establishes and maintains exceptional associate relations through positive motivation, training, development, including disciplinary actions
- Ensures Camp Margaritaville policies and procedures are enforced in a fair and consistent manner
- Ensures and maintains the highest level of customer satisfaction
- Personally handles, and follows up, with all guests and associate’s concerns/complaints
- Management will have the power or weight if training is completed, and associate or lead is ready to be on the service floor
- Attend all meetings and training as required: Required to hold one meeting with staff monthly
- Knowledge and compliance with policies and procedures as outlined under the Associate’s Handbook
- Complete all assignments and tasks as instructed by the Management Team
- Hires, schedules, and trains all event staff to include conducting roll call and monthly meetings, and illustrating the proper techniques for specialty menus, bottle service, and pricing for VIP areas, along with concert types of service. Monitor staff performance. Defines performance requirements and develops action plans for achievement of goals
- Supervises the setup of function rooms to include placement of linens, silver, China, and glassware according to event order specifications. Visually inspects function rooms and equipment prior to functions for cleanliness, proper inventory, and set up

- Creation of floor plan each rally, concert and banquet event
- Verbally communicates, in a calm, positive demeanor, during the course of the function with the kitchen, service, beverage, concert services, and engineering staff, as well as the guest host to ensure timely execution of events, quality service, and adherence to all applicable federal, state, local safety and health regulations and corporate standards.
- Supervises clean-up of function areas and proper breakdown and storage of equipment
In the event there are no concert or special events taking place at the time, the Shift Floor Manager is to assist in any and all F&B management responsibilities as directed by the F&B Director.
Skills/Experience:
- Must have comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
- Knowledge of concerts, special events and pool service.
- Knowledge of all applicable federal, state, and local health and safety regulations.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the English language to read event orders and effectively communicate with guests and employees.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Ability to grasp, lift, carry or transport up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to operate various food and beverage equipment present at a function.
- Ability to set realistic goals and standards.
- Computer literate
- Must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance.
