Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance and operations of our facilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and expertise in facilities management, ensuring that all systems are functioning optimally. This role requires a proactive approach to maintenance management, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and manage all facility systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify issues and implement corrective actions.
- Fabricate and repair equipment as necessary, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Perform high voltage and low voltage electrical work safely and efficiently.
- Use an ohmmeter and other tools to troubleshoot electrical issues.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to enhance the longevity of equipment.
- Coordinate with external contractors for specialized maintenance tasks when required.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards within the facility.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory of supplies.
- Ability to recognize and repair any safety issues including ensuring facilities are clean and free of debris
- Proven ability to salt, sand and plow grounds as needed using specialized equipment
- Ensure cleanliness of all buildings is maintained
- Cosmetic upkeep of building and facilities
- Ability to communicate effectively with Executive director as well as other employees in regards to needed repairs and completed tasks.
Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities management or a related field.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various systems.
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Experience working with high voltage systems is preferred; low voltage experience is also beneficial.
- Ability to fabricate parts or equipment as needed for repairs or improvements.
- A commitment to safety practices in all aspects of work.
- Must be able to lift at least 75 lbs
- Must be able to climb ladders for repairs as needed
- Submit a Cori/Sori check as mandated by state law
