What are the responsibilities and job description for the Yard Attendant position at Camp Run-A-Mutt Energy Corridor?
Camp Run-A-Mutt Houston Energy Corridor is seeking motivated individuals to learn and grow with our Camp. We specialize in dog daycare and boarding, but also provide other services such as bathing, basic grooming and retail. We strive to provide a fun, fast-paced work environment, and we’re looking for hardworking, detail-oriented and energetic animal loving individuals.
We are looking for part-time staff to work our early morning shift that starts at 6:15AM and around 24 hours per week, which could possibly expand to full-time work.
We are an owner operated business and believe that all pups in our care come first! We prefer that all applicants have prior professional experience in handling multiple dogs. Professional experience may include volunteer work at local area shelters, rescues, etc.
Job requirements include supervising and cleaning up when our pups are playing in the yard, lots of on-your-feet exercises (petting our campers, cleaning the facility, etc.). Opportunities to cross-train between positions are also available.
Applicants must be comfortable with being on their feet 3-4 hours at a time, working outside in a team environment and having the flexibility to work weekends and holidays. Additionally, our applicants must be able to work in an environment with exposure to disinfectant/sanitation chemicals.
RESPONSIBILITIES will include:
- Monitoring and managing dogs in an off leash environment
- Keeping water bowls clean and full
- Conducting routine wellness checks of all dogs
- Maintaining cleanliness of indoor and outdoor play areas
- Bathing dogs
- Treating our campers, co-workers and customers in a professional, courteous manner
- Assisting co-workers and performing other duties, as needed
