What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ropes Course Counselor (Summer Internship) position at Camp Taconic?
Camp Taconic, a 7-week overnight camp in Western Massachusetts is looking for Ropes Course Counselors for Summer 2025. Taconic is a traditional, coed camp with over 500 campers and 300 staff members.
This is a great opportunity for education majors and outdoors enthusiasts to gain experience and make an impact on the development of young people. At Taconic, our challenge course program is dedicated to providing a fun and empowering experience for campers age 7-16. Rock climbers and bouldering hobbyists are encouraged to apply, and we also provide certification for those who lack experience!
Responsibilities:
- Supervise campers on our rock-wall, zip lines, and high ropes course
- Lead engaging team-building games
- Help campers increase their confidence on and off the ropes course
- Live with a group of campers and co-counselors and help to tend to their day-to-day needs
