Job Summary
This position is part of the Retail Team at Camp Timber-lee and is responsible for the overall management of the various retail outlets, including staffing, training, scheduling, purchasing, stocking, and operation.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing excellent guest experiences and be able to communicate effectively with others. They will also be able to work independently and within a team environment, demonstrating strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Oversight of Camp Timber-lee's retail outlets, including the Camp Store, Acorns Canteen, Science Center Gift Shop, and Blue Spruce Store
- Assists with developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results
- Responsible for scheduling, shift expectations, stock rotation, and inventory management
- Understands the overarching ministry strategy and communicates it effectively to staff
- Monitors the retail environment and makes adjustments as needed to maintain the ministry's competitive position
- Conducts research on new products to carry or discontinue
- Communicates weekly information and major milestones with the supervisor
- Ensures loss control through training and follow-up of store personnel
- Provides exceptional customer service and resolves operational customer concerns
- Assists with Leathershop inventory, budgeting, and logistics as needed
- Maintains store cleanliness standards and proper signage at all times
- Promotes product neatly to maximize sales
- Ensures the quality and freshness of products for sale
- Complies with all established company policies and procedures
- Assists with OE classes in various departments as needed
- Participates in Ministry events and programs
- Supports the larger organization of Camp Timber-lee through assigned tasks and projects
- Performs hosting duties as required
