Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Lifeguards to ensure the safety and well-being of all campers and staff at our aquatic facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong swimming skills, a commitment to maintaining a safe environment, and the ability to respond effectively in emergency situations. As a Lifeguard, you will play a crucial role in monitoring pool activities and enforcing safety regulations. You will also be responsible for morning swim instruction classes. Afternoon swim is "free" swim where guards engage with campers in the pool or they are rotating on chair.
*The pool is a large OUTDOOR pool and lifeguards are expected to enter the water each day during Swim instruction.
If you are not certified or need to update your lifeguard certification, we can train you!
Responsibilities
- Instruct swim classes each day.
- Monitor pool activities to ensure the safety of all swimmers and guests.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and administer first aid or CPR as needed.
- Conduct regular inspections of the pool area, ensuring cleanliness and proper maintenance.
- Perform pool cleaning and maintenance tasks, including checking chemical levels and equipment functionality.
- Enforce facility rules and regulations to promote a safe swimming environment.
- Participate in regular training sessions to maintain certification in lifeguarding, CPR, and first aid.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to pool supplies as required.
Qualifications
- Valid Lifeguard certification from a recognized organization.
- Proficient swimming skills with the ability to perform rescues if necessary.
- Knowledge of first aid procedures and CPR techniques.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- A commitment to maintaining a safe environment for all campers and staff.
