Camp Walden is hiring a Camp Nurse (RN, LPN, or Graduate Nurse)
At Camp Walden, we believe in fostering self-confidence, leadership, and a strong sense of community. Founded in 1916, our close-knit camp welcomes 130 campers (ages 9-15) and 70 staff members each summer, creating a warm, supportive environment where everyone can thrive.
Join our camp community as a Camp Nurse, providing leadership in health and wellness for our campers and staff. Responsibilities include health assessments, caring for sick and injured campers and staff, educating campers and staff on healthy practices, keeping records, and communicating with parents and physicians.
Requirements
- Current nursing license or diploma in Maine. Compact license also works.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience working with children either in a school or hospital setting is required.
- Interest in and experience with summer camping a plus!
Dates: June 3 – August 9, 2025
Compensation: $1000 to $1,200 per week room, board, travel bonus, and weekly laundry
Job Type: Full-time
