Role Description
This is a seasonal (8 week) on-site role for a Wood Shop Director at Camp Walt Whitman. The Wood Shop Director will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations in the wood shop, leading woodworking activities, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and mentoring campers in woodworking skills.
Qualifications
- Experience in woodworking and woodworking instruction
- Knowledge of woodworking tools and equipment
- Ability to create and implement woodworking projects
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Attention to detail and safety-conscious mindset
- Experience working with children in a camp or educational setting is a plus
- First Aid/CPR certification is beneficial
