What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Camp Instructor (Drama, Film or Dance) position at Camp Wildfolk?
Important: We are a DAY CAMP. We DO NOT provide housing/accommodations. This is a seasonal position.
We are looking for compassionate, inspiring, dedicated, & creative leaders with a CAN-DO attitude, who will delight in bringing fun and engaging activities to our kids this summer all while making lifelong memories or friends along the way.
Are you into Performing? Acting? Dancing? Filmmaking? Teaching? If so, we're looking for folks with a passion for Drama Performance, Dance, and/or Filmmaking. Don't need to be a pro -- just passionate enough to guide campers to create their own short theater performance, fun dance or short film...We offer filmmaking, drama performance, dance and more…

Our Guides...
- are hybrids of classic "Camp Counselor" and Activity Instructor
- will lead up to 3 activity electives: something active, something brainy, and/or something artsy
- are comfortable creating projects, curriculum, and have some experience leading classes
- excel at managing groups with ease- can balance connecting with each camper as an individual, while nurturing a unique, fun, and spirited group culture
- communicate clearly and compassionately with families, campers, and staff alike
- possess flexibility to calmly and maturely respond to changing needs
- have a growth mindset and appreciate the opportunity to implement feedback
- consistently bring energy, enthusiasm, and spirit to their role

East Valley Essential Details
- Seasonal Position Dates: June 9- August 22nd
- New Staff Orientation: Saturday, June 7th (2:00pm- 8:30pm)
- Staff Training: Sunday, June 8th (10:00am- 4:00pm)
- Set-Up Day: Saturday, June 14 (times tbd)
- 1st Summer Guides Pay: $20/hour ($22 for credentialed teachers)
- Regular Guide Hours: are 8:20am- 3:05pm (Mondays: 8:05am)
- Minimal additional times for camp set-up clean-up
- Optional additional hours for Extended Care
- Options to work future Spring, Fall & Winter break camps
