What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Camp Nurse position at Camp Wingate*Kirkland - Cape Cod, MA?
Camp Wingate*Kirkland, a co-ed day and overnight Camp in Cape Cod, Massachusetts; is seeking a nurse to join our Health Center team for the 2025 Summer Season.
We are seeking a warm, caring, responsible, FUN, team player who is motivated to take care of our entire Camp community. This position is a residential position.
The responsibilities of a Camp W*K nurse included, but are not limited to:
- Caring for campers and staff who are admitted to the Health Center
- Administering medications to campers and staff
- Responding to an emergency that may arise
- Communicating with parents.
- Regular communication with Camp Director regarding camper or camp related health issues
- Charting incidentsand maintaining detailed and accurate health logs for campers and staff.
- Participate in field trips or excursions out of Camp to provide medical assistance as necessary.
- Educating staff during Staff Week regarding Camp W*K medical policies and procedures, taking precautions and reporting.
- As needed, accompanying campers or staff to doctors appointments and/or ER visits.
- Encouraging and promoting healthy living at Camp
- Qualified candidates will be:
- Registered Nurse (RN) or higher. Preferably with experience working in school or other child focused position.
Hours: Saturday and Sunday 8AM to 5PM
Dates: June 21st to August 17th, 2025.
