Job Description
The New York City Campaign Finance Board manages New York City’s small donor democracy program and educates and engages voters via NYC Votes. The CFB has enjoyed a tremendous arc of progress over its 30-year history, and our updated flagship small donor democracy program is the centerpiece of this progress.

ABOUT THE UNIT/DEPARTMENT
The Operations and Finance division is responsible for the financial, procurement & administrative services that support agency-wide operations. The Procurement Analyst (College Aide) will report to the Director of Procurement and Contract Management/ Deputy Agency Chief Contracting Officer (DACCO) and will be part of a dynamic, service-oriented team responsible for processing procurements for services, goods and construction in an accurate and timely manner using the appropriate procurement methods ensuring the procurements are in compliance with the rules associated to the funding stream in order to meet CFB’s goals and objectives.
The Procurement Analyst will be responsible for procurement (research market trends, create and administer purchase orders and requisitions, manage the lifecycle of a small or large solicitations, etc.) and procurement management (tracking vendor agreements, analyze various procurement process and metrics, execute pivot tables for data management etc.) and other procurement related duties.. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Processing purchase orders and requisitions.
- Maintain and update procurement status reports and database.
- Prepare and analyze procurement data.
- Assist with managing and tracking purchase requisitions, purchase order, and contract.
- Support Requests for Proposals (RFP), the bid solicitation, and awardee process.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure contractual agreements are met.
- Assist in managing and maintaining strong vendor relationships.
- Assist Operations and Finance staff with any special projects.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Entry-level experience, with an interest (in procurement and data analytics.)
- Current college student, pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Finance, and/or Public Administration highly preferred.
- High level of technical proficiency, particularly working with Microsoft platforms, primarily Excel and pivot tables.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication/presentation skills (both verbal and written) and the ability to manage multiple projects with various deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent analytical skills, good reasoning abilities, and execution of sound judgments
- Experience performing data entry and processing high volumes of information and the ability to work on multiple projects concurrently.

Minimum Qualifications
For Assignment Level I:
Matriculation at an accredited college or graduate school. Employment is conditioned upon continuance as a student in a college or graduate school.
For Assignment Level II (Information Technology):
Matriculation at an accredited college or graduate school. Employment is conditioned upon continuance as a student in a college or graduate school with a specific course of study in information technology, computer science, management information systems, data processing, or closely related field, including or supplemented by 9 semester credits in an acceptable course of study.
For Assignment Level III (Information Technology Fellow):
Matriculation at an accredited college or graduate school. Employment is conditioned upon continuance as a student in a college or graduate school with a specific course of study in information technology, computer science, management information systems, data processing, or other area relevant to the information technology project(s) assigned, including or supplemented by 9 semester credits in an acceptable course of study. Appointments to this Assignment Level will be made by the Technology Steering Committee through the Department of Information Technology and Telecommunications.
SPECIAL NOTE
Maximum tenure for all Assignment Levels in the title of College Aide is 6 years. No student shall be employed more than half-time in any week in which classes in which the student is enrolled are in session. Students may be employed full-time during their vacation periods.

Residency Requirement
New York City residency is generally required within 90 days of appointment. However, City Employees in certain titles who have worked for the City for 2 continuous years may also be eligible to reside in Nassau, Suffolk, Putnam, Westchester, Rockland, or Orange County.
