Job Title: Lehigh Valley Regional Organizer

The Campaign for a Family Friendly Economy (CFFE) is fighting for a future where all people can afford to care for themselves and their loved ones. We do this by building momentum to pass policies that lower costs for families, like paid family and medical leave, quality, affordable child care, and home and community-based care for the aging and disabled.
ABOUT THE POSITION:
We are looking for a Regional Organizer to join our team to implement the outreach and events program in the Lehigh Valley that will mobilize grassroots and grasstops organizations, community leaders, and constituents on key challenges facing working families.
The Regional Organizer is motivated to take a creative approach to recruiting constituents and key messengers and executing events, and can communicate effectively with various stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
As Regional Organizer, you will:
- Collaborate with the rest of the CFFE team to implement a successful community outreach program, including quickly mobilizing around rapid response moments and identifying storytellers and local leaders in the community willing to speak out.
- Maintain a drumbeat of accountability tactics and actions in your district, from press conferences to rallies, stunts, and town halls, to garner press coverage, including overseeing all logistical needs.
- Recruit constituents who are impacted by our issues and comfortable sharing their personal stories to be part of programming and media opportunities.
- Perform outreach through community canvassing, phone calls, text messages, and social media and follow up with hot leads.
- Build strong 1:1 relationships with storytellers, volunteers, community leaders, and supporters.
- Crowd build for events in the district.
- Regularly draft and post across social media platforms to lift up our issues, amplify storytellers, and spread the word about your organizing activities in collaboration with the Communications Director and Organizing Director.
- Track and monitor twenty-four-hour news cycles in the event there is an opportunity for rapid response action.
- Support outreach to elected officials, local advocacy organizations, key stakeholders, and other non-profit organizations on the district level.
- Support press, additional social media, website, and other digital programs for your district as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- You are an effective communicator capable of coordinating between various stakeholders and making policy and politics relatable and accessible to working people.
- You are passionate about progressive politics and are committed to working towards more inclusive and equitable public policy.
- You are calm under pressure and nimble in a changing campaign environment.
- You have an inclusive, community-first, and deeply human approach to organizing.
- You are willing to work campaign hours, including nights and weekends.
- You are willing and able to travel.
- Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and reliable access to a vehicle.
In addition, it would be a bonus if you:
- Have a familiarity with progressive economic issues and framing.
- Have a connection to the state, the districts, and its communities, such as having lived or worked there.
- Have experience building and recruiting for in-person events that garner earned media attention.
- Have worked on Congressional electoral or issue advocacy campaigns.
- Have worked with communities of color and the working class.
- Are fluent in both English and Spanish.
Benefits and compensation:
Salary range: $60,000 - $70,000 / year
Access to a shared cost health premium reimbursement program for eligible medical plans, as well as earned paid time off for holidays, vacations, and sick days is available to employees of the organization. We provide mileage reimbursement at the Federal rate.
