About the Role
Campaign Nucleus is a SaaS platform designed to streamline operations for political campaigns and organizations. Our goal is to provide innovative tools that simplify communication, data management, and strategy execution. We're seeking a skilled Development Operations Manager to help manage our development processes, coordinate large teams, and ensure the smooth running of agile practices, while working closely with our leadership team.
Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Work with product owners to manage and groom the product backlog, ensuring clarity and prioritization of tasks.
- Collaborate with the CTO and CEO to streamline processes and structures, improving operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with large development teams to ensure timely delivery of features and bug fixes.
- Serve as a liaison between development, product management, and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment on goals and expectations.
- Track and report team progress, identify bottlenecks, and proactively suggest solutions.
- Drive continuous improvement in development processes, emphasizing efficiency and collaboration.
- Help resolve roadblocks and encourage the adoption of best practices across teams.
- Utilize your technical knowledge to contribute to high-level discussions on architecture, coding standards, and deployment pipelines.
- Ensure strong internal communication and collaboration, fostering a culture of transparency and accountability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5 years of experience in a development operations, project management, or scrum master role.
- Proven experience working with large, distributed development teams.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience leading scrum ceremonies.
- Experience in backlog grooming and task prioritization in collaboration with product teams.
- Basic technical knowledge (e.g., software development, version control, and CI/CD pipelines).
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with an ability to foster collaboration and clarity across teams.
- Experience with project management tools like Jira, Trello, or similar.
Preferred Qualifications
- Scrum Master certification (CSM or similar).
- Experience in a SaaS environment, particularly within political or nonprofit sectors.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with large-scale software development projects in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
