Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Child Care Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for children, ensuring their safety and promoting their development. This role involves working with children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, and those with special needs. The Child Care Teacher will be responsible for implementing educational activities that foster learning and growth while managing classroom behavior effectively.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that engage children in learning activities.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment for all children.
- Monitor children's progress and provide feedback to parents or guardians regarding their development.
- Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement techniques and effective behavior management strategies.
- Provide care for infants and toddlers, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
- Collaborate with other staff members to support children with disabilities or special education needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom space that promotes learning and exploration.
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in a daycare or educational setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of toddler care, infant care, special education, or behavior management techniques is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to create engaging educational activities that cater to diverse learning styles.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for educating young children.
- Certification in CPR/First Aid is a plus but not required at the time of application.
- Experience working with children with disabilities is beneficial.
